Mohamed Osman Salih

Sudanese Islamic scholar/cleric Mohamed Osman Salih recently revealed a dark personal secret: he likes ’em young. As head of the Religious Scholars Committee, Sudan’s primary Islamic cleric circle jerk, Salih issued a statement that marriage of young girls to older men was a healthy and good practice. He claimed the benefits of such marriages are numerous, including the ability to bear more children. For Muslims, this is quite a big thing since so many of their children are captured, killed, or end up blowing themselves up. Salih has also issued statements advocating female genital mutilation.

It is not known how many child brides Salih has taken. However, his religion tells him it’s acceptable, so he’s unlikely to stop unless he gets a visit from Chris Hansen of Dateline NBC.
