Your Daily Muslim #684: Maria Giulia Sergio

“I can’t wait to die as a martyr.”

27-year-old Italian convert Muslimah Maria Giulia Sergio has (in addition to three first names) the wrong idea of what a good society is. Sergio married an Albanian Muslim, and has since grown in her devotion. Of course, their honeymoon was far from normal – they decided to take a lifelong vacation to Syria to join the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group.

Now in Syria, Sergio sometimes communicates with their parents. Because Italy knows how to handle Muslims, Italian authorities were monitoring her parents for suspected jihad enablement. Apparently being dumb enough to convert to a bloodthirsty child-marriage cult runs in the family. In communications between Sergio and her father, she told him to “hate the unbelievers and cut their heads.” This is in accordance with Qur. 8:12. But remember, Islam is a misunderstood religion of peace. The fact that her religion makes her look forward to death is beyond morbid. Such beliefs have no place in civilized society.

Sergio also revealed the extent to which her religion expects her to submit simply because she is a woman. “Dad, you are called by Islam, you are the master at home – bring mum here in Syria,” Sergio said. “You are her husband, she’s obliged to obey.” Of course, western feminists are too busy whining about effects of “patriarchy” such as scantily-clad video game characters to criticize the oppressive patriarchy inherent in Islam.

Sergio’s family and several others were recently detained in an anti-terror raid. She and her husband are still in Syria, believed to be alive.
